100 Kids Who Care meet twice yearly - spring and fall!
Results From Our Fall Meeting
The children met at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 67 (who generously donated their space!) on November 21st, and were thrilled to hear an update from FLATO Academy Theatre on how their donation from the spring meeting helped with their production of A Christmas Story. To say thank you, the staff invited the children as special guests to attend the show’s final dress rehearsal!
Following this update, the children then heard from the evening’s two chosen charities! Compass Lindsay talked about their campaign for new sports and activity equipment and supplies for their daycare facility on Mary Street in Lindsay. Then a festive crew from the Kinsmen Club of Lindsay presented their platform of giving - which includes their annual Toy Drive campaign!
The children then had their chance to vote - and with a split of 51% to 49% - Compass Lindsay was the winner! Their representative received the $290 in cash (some of it in rolled coins from a member’s piggy bank!) and a promise to return with an update in the spring!
Stay tuned for more information on our April meeting date!
